StageSketch App Privacy Policy

StageSketch is a creative sketchbook app for iPad developed and operated by Yaqoob Al Khaja (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the app.

Data That Stays on Your Device

StageSketch is an offline-first app. Your drawings, sketchbooks, project details, and settings are stored locally on your iPad and are never uploaded to any servers. We do not have access to your content.

This includes drawings and pages you create, sketchbook names, settings, and configurations, project and folder metadata such as names, descriptions, and client details, exported files such as PNGs and PDFs, and app preferences and theme settings.

You control your data. It only leaves your device if you explicitly share or export it using the iOS share sheet.

Anonymous Analytics

StageSketch uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the app’s features are used. This helps improve the app.

Collected data includes anonymous feature usage events such as tool selections, exports, and navigation patterns, session duration, and basic device type and OS version collected automatically by TelemetryDeck.

Not collected are your name, email address, or any personal identifiers, your drawings or sketchbook content, your location, or advertising identifiers.

TelemetryDeck does not use cookies, does not track users across apps, and does not collect personally identifiable information. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous. More information is available at telemetrydeck.com.

Photos and Files

StageSketch allows you to import photos and PDF files onto your canvas. The app uses the system photo picker, which does not grant access to your photo library. Only the specific image or file you select is imported. All imported content is stored locally on your device.

Feedback Emails

If you choose to send feedback from the Settings screen, the app opens your default mail client with a pre-filled email. The email body may include your device model and iOS version to help with troubleshooting. You can review and edit this information before sending. Nothing is collected automatically.

No Accounts or Authentication

StageSketch does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no user authentication.

No Cloud Sync

Your data is not synced to iCloud, CloudKit, or any other cloud service. All data remains on your device.

No Advertising or Tracking

StageSketch contains no advertising and does not track users across apps or websites. The app does not access the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not participate in ad networks.

No In-App Purchases

StageSketch does not currently include in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used is TelemetryDeck for anonymous analytics. Their privacy policy is available at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. No user data is retained on any servers.

Children’s Privacy

StageSketch does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the app is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.
